Why can’t I maintain my weight loss?

The fact is that our identity is consistent with our behaviors and our behaviors are consistent with our identity.

When we are aware of a struggle to accomplish something or maintain a result it is time to take a look at our identity.

How are you defining yourself?

Do you define yourself as “fat”? If so, no amount of action can get you permanently over that hump…

No amount of action can compensate for an opposing identity.

This is because at your core you are identifying yourself as fat.  Your brain will never support you in creating something that is in conflict with how you identify yourself.

Let’s change it! Rather than identifying yourself as fat say I’m experiencing some “fatness.” Rather than identifying yourself as “stupid” say “I did a stupid thing.”

Look at your identity, how are you defining yourself? Get that in check and all the pieces fall into place.
